What types of cakes does EVE Bakehouse offer?
We specialise in our signature Cloud Chiffon Cakes and creamy Basque cheesecakes, alongside our range of homemade crunchy cookies.
What is a Cloud Chiffon Cake?
Our Cloud Chiffon is made using a delicate chiffon technique, with carefully whipped egg whites creating a beautifully soft, light and airy sponge. Each cake is layered with fresh cream and thoughtfully balanced flavours for a cake that feels fluffy, moist and never too heavy.
Are your cakes very sweet?
We aim for balanced sweetness so the flavour of the cream, fruit, chocolate, matcha and other ingredients can shine. Our cakes are designed to feel light and enjoyable rather than overly rich or sweet.
Are EVE cakes suitable for birthdays and celebrations?
Absolutely! Our cakes are perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, gatherings or simply when you feel like celebrating something special.
Ordering & Pickup
How far in advance should I order my cake?
Please place your cake order at least 2 days in advance. For weekends, public holidays and special occasions, we recommend ordering earlier to avoid missing out.
Do you offer delivery?
At the moment, all online cake orders are pickup only from our St Kilda store.

Can I add a personalised message to my cake?
Yes. You can add a short personalised cake message when placing your order. Perfect for birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions.
Can I change my order after it has been placed?
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make a change. As our cakes are freshly prepared to order, changes may not be possible once preparation has begun.
What happens if I miss my pickup date?
Because our cakes are made fresh, we cannot guarantee their quality or availability for collection on a later date. Please contact us as soon as possible if you are unable to collect your order.
Cake Sizes & Celebrations
What cake sizes do you offer?
Our whole cakes are generally available in:
6” — Serves approximately 8
8” — Serves approximately 12
Serving sizes are approximate and may vary depending on how generously the cake is cut.
Which size should I choose?
For a smaller birthday or gathering, our 6” cake is usually a great choice. For a larger celebration, we recommend the 8”.
Can I place a large or corporate order?
Yes. For larger celebrations, events or corporate orders, please contact us at Hello@evebakehouse.com.au and our team will be happy to help.
Storage & Freshness
How should I store my cake?
Keep your cake refrigerated until you are ready to enjoy it. For the best texture and flavour, we recommend enjoying it on the day of pickup and serving it cold from the fridge.
How long will my cake stay fresh?
Our cakes are best enjoyed fresh on the day of pickup. If needed, they can be kept refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 24 hours.
How should I store my crunchy cookies?
Keep your cookies in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and keep the jar tightly sealed after opening. For the best crunch and flavour, enjoy them within 2 weeks.
Dietary & Allergens
Do you offer gluten-free cakes?
Our Basque cheesecakes are made with gluten-free ingredients, including a gluten-free cookie base. However, our kitchen also handles products containing gluten, so cross-contact may occur. Please contact us before ordering if you have a severe allergy or coeliac disease.
Do your cakes contain allergens?
Our products may contain or come into contact with common allergens including gluten, dairy, eggs and nuts. Ingredients vary between flavours, so please check the dietary information on the individual product page or contact us if you are unsure.
Are your cakes vegan or dairy-free?
Our current cake range contains dairy and/or eggs and is not suitable for vegan or dairy-free diets.
Choosing Your Cake
Which cake should I choose if I prefer something light?
Our Cloud Chiffon Cakes are a lovely choice. The sponge is soft and airy, with fresh cream and balanced flavours, making them ideal for anyone who prefers a lighter-style celebration cake.
What if I prefer something rich and creamy?
Try one of our Basque cheesecakes. They have a rich, silky cheesecake centre with a beautifully creamy texture.
